I’m not usually one to share dog videos, but today I can’t help it!
My son and dog (Renny and Milly) were playing catch a few days ago, and Renny put up a toilet paper wall to see what Milly would do 🧻
It got me thinking…Even though she wanted her toy, she wouldn’t cross the wall. She was strong enough to break through, tall enough to jump over, yet something inside of her wouldn’t let her pass.
Believe me, it wasn’t her just being a good dog 🐶
Milly experienced some kind of mental/false barrier that kept her away from what she wanted.
How often do you do that? How often do I?!
Milly knew how to get to the toy (she jumps over things all the time). Renny even tried to teach her how to break through the toilet paper wall, and she wouldn’t go through!
Her doubts kept getting in her own way!
I can just imagine Milly thinking “am I allowed to do this?! what if I get in trouble? What will happen if I jump over?! I really want that toy, but what if…?!” 🤦🏼♀️🤣
Have you ever experienced this?!
Next time you’re trying to reach a new goal, do something different, expand out of your comfort zone… remember Milly. Is it a real barrier, or just toilet paper?! ✨
